B1 is where Dutch starts to feel natural.

This course moves beyond sentence building into the grammar that gives Dutch its precise character: relative clauses that describe exactly which person or thing you mean, the past perfect for stories within stories, the passive voice for when the doer does not matter, and the patterns of Dutch word formation. You will express conditionality with zou/zouden, handle the many faces of er, build infinitive chains, and use participles as adjectives — and understand the grammar behind every nuanced B1 sentence you produce.
